Two years of education equivalent to completion of a curriculum beyond the 12th grade in either (1) engineering or (2) surveying. A documented minimum of four (4) years of demonstrated experience in highway construction office engineering or roadway construction inspection of highways or major public works projects.

Or- A documented minimum six (6) years of demonstrated experience in roadway construction inspection of highways or major public works projects.

Two (2) year degree from a pre-engineering program and have a minimum of two (2) years experience performing the duties and tasks of an Assistant Structure Representative, or possess a four (4) year bachelor degree in engineering and have one (1) year experience performing the duties and tasks of an Assistant Structure Representative for similar construction inspection projects.
The Assistant Structure Representative must possess a valid Driver's License Must possess a valid Standard First Aid Certificate at all times. Must possess a valid American Society for Testing Materials (ASTM) or California Test Methods (CTM), or American Concrete Institute (ACI).

Two (2) year degree from pre-engineering program or have a minimum of three (3) years experience performing the duties and tasks of an Engineering Technician on similar construction inspection projects.
The Transportation Engineering Technician must possess valid certifications in the sampling and testing of bridge construction materials in accordance with California Test Methods (CTM) or American Society for Testing Materials (ASTM) procedure as appropriate for the specific bridge construction materials being sampled or tested, or American Concrete Institute (ACI).
The Transportation Engineering Technician must possess construction surveying knowledge and experience necessary for control lines and grades as required. Must possess a valid Driver's License

5-8 years full time paid professional experience in Scheduling for an owner or General Contractor
Proficiency in Primavera 15.1 or above and MS Office Suite
Experience with projects using Design-Bid-Build and Design-Build project delivery methods
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Superior organizational and planning skills
Ability to build efficient working relationships with project teams and department staff
Time impact analysis of schedule changes, identify schedule variances and opportunities
Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or related field is preferred.
Experience with large-scale, complex construction projects.
Knowledge & experience with project management principles and project control cycles.
Experience with Primavera P6

The ideal candidate will have proven cost estimating experience. The general job duties will include, but shall not be limited to: Preparing conceptual and detailed estimates, negotiating change orders, developing budgets; and, reviewing invoices.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
Typically, 7-10 years of general estimating experience directly related to both engineering and construction projects is required (varies by position/level)
Ability to produce conceptual estimates, detailed estimates and negotiate change orders with Contractors.
Proficient with large-scale estimating software
Experience with On-screen Take-off and MC2 is highly desirable
Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel)
Proficient with industry estimating databases and other estimating data sources, e.g. RS Means, Richardsons, etc.
Experience with HCSS estimating software is desirable
Experience with Timberline estimating software is desirable
Experience with Adobe Acrobat and/or Bluebeam
Previous experience within one or more business sectors, as may be applicable (aviation, rail, transit, energy/utilities, education, ports, etc.)
Demonstrates a proactive, firm and respectful approach to estimate reconciliation efforts and change order processing;
Demonstrated proficiency estimating formats, including Uniformat II;
Proved accuracy, reliability and completeness in job accomplishment
